An Ivorian delegation led by the CNP-PPP, represented by its Chairman, Mr. Moussa KOUYATE, was in Benin from 20 to 24 June 2022, as part of an experience-sharing mission on the development and operation of industrial estates, following the signing of an agreement on 14 June 2022, between the State of Côte d’Ivoire and ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (IIP) for the development of a 113-hectare industrial estate in Akoupé-Zeudji, Abidjan PK-24.

The choice of Benin as the destination of this mission can be explained by the public-private partnership that country forged with the ARISE group for the construction of the Glo Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ) located 45 km from Cotonou and dedicated to the local processing of agricultural products, notably cotton, cashew nuts, pineapples, shea nuts and soya beans.

Built on an area of 400 ha, the Glo Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ) is a special economic zone conceived with the political will of the Government of President Patrice TALON to make it a modern industrial park, in compliance with the highest environmental and social standards and intended to provide services to various industries including commercial spaces, warehouses, a truck terminal, a dedicated power supply, a water reservoir, a common effluent treatment plant, a police station, a fire station, a medical centre and a one-stop customs clearance office.

The Glo Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ) is expected to attract an investment of at least US$1.4 billion during the first phase and create approximately 12,000 jobs.

ARISE IIP designs, finances, builds and operates integrated and tailor-made industrial zones, thus adding significant value and improving the economic competitiveness of host countries.
