On Thursday, 23 June 2022, the CNP-PPP took part in the ceremony to lay the foundation stone of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Grand-Bassam.
An agreement between the State and Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire (SGCI) was signed during this ceremony.
This is the outcome of negotiations for the restoration and management of the said Museum in which the CNP-PPP was heavily involved.
The museum will be built on the heritage house formerly known as the customs post. The building has been ceded for a period of 50 years under shared management by the Ministries of Culture and Francophonie, Budget and State Portfolio and Société Générale Côte d’Ivoire (SGCI).
As a reminder, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site since 20 June 2012, the city of Grand-Bassam now benefits from the restoration and management of the House of Art in the said historical city.
The CNP-PPP thus helps in the promotion and preservation of the Ivorian cultural heritage.
