On Thursday 4 August 2022, Prime Minister Patrick Achi laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Arise Abidjan PK24 Industrial Economic Zone (IEZ) at a cost of more than CFAF 107 billion.

The Arise Industrial Economic Zone (IEZ) of Abidjan PK24, with an area of 444 hectares, will be developed in two phases of 24 months each.

For the Arise Group, the aim of this project is to support the ambition of the Ivorian authorities, who are determined to ensure the country’s emergence by developing its industrial base through the transformation of the agricultural production for greater added value, import substitution, relying in particular on the private sector.

“The implementation of this project will make it possible to place industrial lots, commercial and residential spaces, equipment and buildings at the disposal of economic operators in a zone equipped with modern infrastructure of quality and in conformity with international standards”, said Prime Minister Patrick Achi.

This modern zone will house a one-stop shop for the completion of all formalities and administrative procedures relating to the establishment and operation of investments in the zone.

The Head of Government noted this is the outcome of negotiations started in 2019, for the design, financing, construction and equipment of the PK 24 IEZ, which saw a strong involvement of the National Steering Committee of Public-Private Partnership (CNP-PPP).

For the Head of Government, it is a concrete act and a major symbol of the new Côte d’Ivoire that is being shown. “This new Côte d’Ivoire, wanted by the President of the Republic, Mr. Alassane Ouattara, is that of a more industrious and industrial Côte d’Ivoire”, he said.

Prime Minister Patrick ACHI recalled that Arise Ivoire is an actor who intervenes in the development of the industrial economic zones of Abidjan, Ferkessédougou and San Pedro.

As a reminder, the development of the Abidjan Industrial Zone was the subject of a concession agreement signed on 14 June 2022, covering the design, financing, construction and equipment of the PK 24 IEZ, the operation, maintenance and renewal of the infrastructure of the Akoupé-Zeudji PK 24 Industrial Economic Zone.
