On Thursday 18 August 2022, Mr. Moussa KOUYATE, Chairman of the National Steering Committee for Public-Private Partnerships (CNP-PPP), had a working session with Mr. Lassina FOFANA, Managing Director of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations de Côte d’Ivoire (CDC-CI).

The objective of this visit was to present to the Managing Director of the CDC-CI, the institutional and regulatory framework of public-private partnerships (PPP) in Côte d’Ivoire, as well as the investment opportunities in PPP projects likely to interest the CDC-CI.

On this occasion, Mr. KOUYATE recalled the main missions of the CNP-PPP, which consist in accompanying the contracting authorities in the implementation of their projects in public-public partnership mode (PPP).

Mr. Lassina FOFANA, Managing Director of the CDC-CI stressed that the institution he heads is a public financial institution with legal personality and financial autonomy, guaranteed by the State.

As such, it has two essential missions which are: resource mobilisation and investment.

Mr. KOUYATE noted that the missions of the CDC-CI make it a key national player, which is called upon to play an important role in the development of PPP projects for a structural transformation of the Ivorian economy.

At the end of this meeting, the leaders of the two institutions announced their intention to sign a partnership agreement for the implementation of PPP projects in the transport, energy and real estate sectors, as well as in the construction of large markets in the country’s various municipalities.
